Bodega Visits & Wine Tasting in Andalucia

Bodegas Alvear is the third oldest winery in Spain. It was founded in 1729 by Don Diego de Alvear, nowadays it is still a family business, run by the 8th generation. It is a traditional winery where the quality of its wines endures since the 18th century.

The wine tour takes you through several areas of the Bodega:
Lagar: an introduction to the variety of grapes used - the Pedro Ximinez
Fermentation: enormous stainless steel tanks used for the fermentation process
'Bodga Monumental:' The main cellar with 5,500 barrels made of American oak.
Bottle line - where 8,000 bottles are filled per hour
Tasting: Fino CB (dry), Festival Pale Cream (semi-sweet), Pedro Ximenez 1927 (sweet). The features of the wines will be explained during the tasting.

The Bodega Wine Tasting Tour is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Special arrangements can be made for groups.
